Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, September 30, 2016- On her second day in Vietnam, Nina Vaca traveled to Ho Chi Mihn City for a CEO talk at the INCO Incubator for young science and tech entrepreneurs. She was joined by famous Vietnamese Entrepreneur Trung Dung, founder and CEO of ICAREBENEFITS.com, and moderator Hannah Nguyen. She also participated in the U.S. Department of State’s Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Startup Boot Camp, an initiative led by Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the PAGE program. The GIST Net Boot Camp not only provided Vietnamese participants with access to vital technical assistance, mentoring, and capital, but also created a space for participants to practice their business pitches. Vaca and her fellow participants gave business advice and feedback to participants. At the end of the day Consul General Mary Tarnowka, Consulate General of the United States, opened her home for a closing reception with Boot Camp participants, local partners, and honored guests.
